Leadership Legacy: How Executives Build People, Cultures, and Companies that Last (Episode # 535U)

Leadership legacy is not simply what remains after a leader leaves. It is created through the way leaders develop people, strengthen organizational capacity, grow themselves, clarify priorities, shape culture, and prepare others to carry the work forward.

In this episode of “The Voice of Leadership,” Dr. Karen explores what it means to leave people, organizations, and yourself better than when you started. She examines the executive leader’s responsibility to recognize individual gifts and strengths, develop leaders of leaders, and create opportunities for people to grow into greater responsibility.

Drawing from Jesus’ example with His disciples, she highlights Jesus’ ability to teach, model leadership, ask thought-provoking questions, provide opportunities to practice, and to invest deeply in His core leadership group.

For the organizational side of legacy, Dr. Karen also addresses how to define and reinforce core values, create a learning culture, develop high-performance teams, support people with the right systems and resources, and maintain a solution-focused approach.
