I am joined this week by Dr. Karen Wilson Starks, a best-selling author and worldwide executive leadership coach. Dr. Wilson-Starks is the CEO of Transleadership, Inc and she helps C-level executives to create dynamic organizational results through her leadership development programs. She is the author of the newly released book, “Lead Yourself First! The Senior Leader’s Guide to Engaging Your People for Greater Performance and Impact.”
Dr. Wilson-Starks is a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and a former active duty Army officer and Psychologist. Her knowledge of behavioral science and experience leading through significant challenges has equipped her to partner with executive leaders and inspire their teams to meaningful success.
She now has more than 25 years of experience in executive leadership development and she shows US-based global corporations, government agencies, military services, and nonprofit organizations how to navigate through change, turbulence, and intense competition while attracting and retaining top talent.
As a leadership consultant, she helps her clients to develop team members for now and the future, to maintain resilience in the modern work world, to deal with fierce external competition, juggling competing demands and prioritizing limited resources, and helping to ensure a successful transition of executive leadership.
In today’s interview, we discuss Dr. Wilson-Starks’ background in both the military and psychology along with how these experiences contributed to her success as a corporate leadership consultant.
